About the artist. Ahmed Newaz is a Bangladeshi painter, musician, teacher, designer and cultural organiser whose practice spans more than five decades. A founding member of the band Souls, his work has shaped Bangladeshi art and culture. His first solo exhibition opened in Chattogram in 1974, inaugurated by the four national leaders of Bangladesh.
